This book is intended for non-lawyers, which is great because most of us need a basic guide to asset protection. Jeff Matsen is an expert in this field and writes very well. It is pretty short and not as overwhelming as the other books on the topic which intimidate me. He goes into domestic structures and off-shore structures which is good because I feel like there is a lot of debate as to which structures are the most effective.I found a typo on page 75 (thanks, Jeff).You should definitely buy it for your mother on Mother's Day, your father on Father's Day, and your children for their birthdays. I'm kidding, don't buy this book for your family, just read it and then learn how to protect your assets.

Well written, and easy to understand. Very clear concise, and easy to implement.

This has some very helpful tips on protection but it should be used as a reference to seek professionals to do the setup.

If you're planning on using options you need to read more than this book. A good place to begin.

This book was an easy and quick read. The writing style was conversational and I enjoyed that about it. Overall it lacked substance and did not have much practical material that could be implemented. It is short on supporting data, and the real life anecdotes almost all come from BELAY's experience. If I had bought this in the ebook format I would have searched the most common word - I suspect it would be "I" or "BELAY". In the end, this book was not very convincing or helpful. It read more like a 200 page commercial for the author and his business.In the book he does recommend other books to check out for more practical help. I wish I had started with those, and saved myself the time.Two stars - since it is a pleasant writing style.

I went Virtual in 2007 after having my first child. I had always begged to go Virtual because I felt being in an office was unproductive. About the Author
David Aldstadt received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2002. His specialty areas are French cinema, modern French culture and literature, and language teaching. He is currently an assistant professor of French at Southern Methodist University, where he teaches courses in French language, literature, culture, and film. He recently received a University Research Council grant to fund research at the Marcel Carne archives at the French Library in Boston.

Jean-Louis Hippolyte received a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado in 1998, and he is currently an Assistant Professor of French at Rutgers University (Camden). His area of specialization is Twentieth-Century French Literature, with a focus on the extreme contemporary. His teaching interests include French language and culture, contemporary literature and criticism, and French cinema. He is currently working on a book on the topic of uncertainty in literature entitled Fuzzy Fiction.

His screen credits include Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988), The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1993), Pocahontas (1995), The Prince of Egypt (1998), Shrek (2001), and Osmosis Jones (2001). His television work includes He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She Ra Princess of Power, and The Superfriends. He is President Emeritus of the Animation Guild Local 839 (Hollywood), was awarded the June Foray Award by ASIFA Hollywood, and sits on the Board of Governors for the Motion Picture Academy of Arts & Sciences. He is a member of the Hyperion Historical Alliance and The National Cartoonists Society. He currently teaches animation at the University of Southern California.
