Bryan is an absolute wizard when it comes to creating an amazing work environment for his team and self. The fact that he's accomplished so much with a team that cares so much about the vision of Belay through a virtual setting is not only inspiring, it's game-changing. It's proof that the virtual model works, and it's the key to thriving in 2018 and beyond.Beyond practical tips on how to go virtual, Bryan brilliantly articulates how going virtual is actually a blueprint for creating the most engaged employees. His tips and experience shared for creating winning culture is profound, and I took away a ton of very actionable tips for creating a culture I'm proud to implement in our own company. No matter where you are in business or life - Virtual Culture is a must read that empowers you to build the vision you love while embracing the culture that makes your business unique. Thank you Bryan and team - much love!

This book was an easy and quick read. The writing style was conversational and I enjoyed that about it. Overall it lacked substance and did not have much practical material that could be implemented. It is short on supporting data, and the real life anecdotes almost all come from BELAY's experience. If I had bought this in the ebook format I would have searched the most common word - I suspect it would be "I" or "BELAY". In the end, this book was not very convincing or helpful. It read more like a 200 page commercial for the author and his business. In the book he does recommend other books to check out for more practical help. I wish I had started with those, and saved myself the time. Two stars - since it is a pleasant writing style.

Full disclosure: I have been a VA with Belay for over a year, and have been working remotely for years. I purchased my copy of this book and was not rewarded or paid for this review.I enjoyed reading the book because it reinforced how brilliant the Belay business model is. Everything you read about the Virtual Belay Culture is true. As a VA, I love the flexibility of working from home. I feel supported and connected to my peers and associates. I enjoy what I do; it is truly a pleasure to work every day to help my client reach new heights! Belay is the best virtual work experience I have ever had, and it definitely comes down to an amazing and supportive corporate culture.Business owners and managers: the future is now. This book has great tools and advice to help you through the transition to a virtual workplace. If you apply this information to your organization, there is no limit to what your team can achieve!

I went Virtual in 2007 after having my first child. I had always begged to go Virtual because I felt being in an office was unproductive. I had an hour commute both ways and coworkers who wanted to chit chat all day but they wouldn’t go for it. I joined the Belay team in 2013 and was placed with 3 clients whom I still serve nearly 5 years later. I’ve met one of them in person just recently. I’m honored to be a part of this virtual mentality that Bryan has created. They hire the best EAs who have a passion for serving others. He is right...I have no desire to leave home for work. I can raise my family and be present in their lives and also provide exceptional support to clients I may never see outside of a web conference. Must read!!!

I started my own business from home in 2010, and have always believed in working remotely. I've always been more driven and independent as a business owner that can set my own schedule and work around my own normal energy levels. But for me, delegating has been super hard. I rely too much on myself, and have had a hard time wrapping my mind around how to delegate to other people without having an office to train people and allow employees to communicate with each other. This book has really helped shape and explain ideas that I've thought about, but have not been able to articulate fully. Bryan Miles helps put the thoughts and concepts of the virtual workplace in a real-life model. Virtual workspaces have been in play in our culture for over 10 years now. Bryan has proven how to create a real-life virtual business, and his ideas about the future of Business are absolutely spot on. If you don't go Virtual, your business will die. And I want to be ahead of the curve, ahead of every other business out there. And this book has really helped me take those first few steps. Thank you, Bryan!

I was hooked from the Introduction. Bryan Miles opens with insider secrets about the downfall of Yahoo! - at a time when I was a virtual writer for Yahoo!. Then, I knew nothing of the internal chaos Bryan described, but I did know people at corporate were suddenly unhappy and leaving the company in droves. He nailed how we felt and why employees left so suddenly.Laced with humor and a straight-forward tone, his spot-on assessments of and arguements for a virtual workforce don't end there, but I won't spoil the book for you. If you are an entrepreneur or corporate executive, the information in this book is likely invaluable to the future success of your business.

If you’re new to the world of virtual work then this book is a muse read. Bryant does a good job of illustrating how a remote team works and how it can actually function better than one that is based in an office. It is a bit light in terms of actionable advice on how to improve your virtual team, I would categorize much of the content more in the inspirational area. None-the-less great book for those just being introduced to the concept of virtual work and has some great tips scattered throughout.
